Internet User Agreement and Access Release Form

As a condition of my right to use the computer network and Internet services

I understand and agree with the following:

1.            To abide by the Aberdeen District Library Acceptable Use Procedures, and Internet Code of Conduct.

2.            Aberdeen District Library and its service providers will not be liable for any direct or indirect, incidental or consequential damages due to information gained and/or obtained via the use of the Internet.

3.            Aberdeen District Library and its service providers do not warrant that the functions of the computer network/Internet will meet any specific requirements I may have, or that the computer network or the Internet will be error free or uninterrupted.

4.            Aberdeen District Library and its service providers shall not be liable for any direct or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost data or information or purchase errors) sustained or incurred in connection with the use, operation, or inability to use the computer network or internet.

5.            The use of the Aberdeen District Library computer network/Internet is a privilege that may be revoked by the library administration at any time for violation of the Aberdeen District Library Acceptable Use Procedures, and Internet Code of Conduct. Library administrators will be the sole arbiter(s) of what constitutes a violation of the Aberdeen District Library Acceptable Use Procedures, and Internet Code of Conduct.

6.            Aberdeen District Library reserves the right to modify and revise the Acceptable Use Procedures, Use of Library Resources policy and/or Internet Code of Conduct.
